Layers of Fear studio teases Unreal Engine 5-powered return to the series with new video - wynterhioname

Bloober Team has been teasing the return of its first person horror Layers of Fear series with a new Unreal Engine 5-powered drone.

Spell the new undertaking doesn't have a mention hitherto, it does look like a return to the paintbrush and easel motifs of the first game. The original Layers of Fear launched in 2016 saw you playing as an obsessive painter. The sequel, 2019's Layers of Fear 2, swapped the painter for an actor and featured horror ikon (and upcoming Venom) Tony Todd.

In our review of the first Layers of Veneration, Tom Orry gave IT a score of 7. He aforesaid "Bloober has created a game that not only features plenty of unnerving imaging and audio frequency, just plays around with the world brilliantly to make sure you'ray ne'er at ease."

Our Chaff wasn't quite an as taken with the follow-up, however. "Credit entry essential go, of course, to Bloober Squad for setting a unlike course for its sequel, freshening the stage setting and unfirm its topic matter to the silvery skin of cinema. It's just a shame that information technology didn't bring the chills and scares that untidy the last excursion."

Bloober Squad have a very drudging slate on their hands, fresh off their most recent horror entitle The Medium. Patently, also as this they'Ra now working happening two AAA projects yet to be declared. Fans are hoping one of those could be a much-desired Silent Hill project with Konami.
